ROLE: The Staff Accountant is responsible to provide financial and managerial accounting support as part of the accounting team at Lynden Door. All training will be provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare and maintain daily and monthly statistical reports
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Prepare financial statements
• Prepare month-end and year-end work papers
• Prepare management reports and supporting analysis
• Financial and capital budgeting
• Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Perform monthly bank collateral reporting
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
• State and regulatory tax and financial reporting
• Accounts payable review
• Monitoring adherence to internal controls
• Assist in problem solving for inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger technical issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to speak and write fluent English
• Ability to travel to any Canadian or US location
• High moral integrity
• Ability to productively work on multiple tasks with interruptions
• Flexible team player
• Accurate, organized and efficient
• Strong communication skills(written and verbal)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in a business- related field (accounting preferred)
