Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Nashville, TN 37228 (100% On-Site)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, preferably with experience in the real estate or property management industry. This role requires at least one year of supervisory experience and will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, regulations, and laws
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Experience in the real estate or property management industry is highly desirable
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
