Lifting equipment or files of 1-10 pounds on a regular basis, lifting equipment or boxes of 10-25 pounds on an occasion
Sits or stands for long periods of time working at a computer and typing
Uses hands to handle controls or feel objects, tools, or controls
Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation
Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish, and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media
Occasional travel to conferences, training or meetings may be required

Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, performs bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliations and assists accounting with other tasks as assigned
Accounting for fixed assets, including maintaining fixed asset systems, and accounting schedules
Accounting for leases
Accounting for Bank Owned Life Insurance
Accounting for Deferred Compensation plans
Perform general ledger reconcilements for month end close
Maintain and reconcile Bancontrol accounts
Stock dividend 10++ tracking
Daily balancing of core systems to general ledger
Maintain accounting systems
Prepare monthly Mortgage Charts reports for Leadership Team
Prepare and distribute daily general ledger report to management
Supports month end close process and completes closing journal entries
Maintain internal controls and documentation as necessary for areas of responsibility, to ensure compliance with GAAP
Comply with and follow all applicable policies and procedures as well as governing laws and regulations
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned, including Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed
Works in an office environment or home office with minimal workplace hazards and moderate levels of noise
Works during the day but may also need to be available occasionally on nights and weekends
Regular travel to other worksites may be required

Job description: Willamette Valley Bank is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, performs bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliations and assists accounting with other tasks as assigned.
