Position Title: Staff Acct II Legal Entity
Job Location: Bangalore , KA-India
Incumbent will provide expertise on complex business and technical issues in Caterpillar SAP environments. This position will/must:
Have the ability to analyze, understand impact and have a broader perspective on specific technical and functional issues in the SAP Finance domain.
Accounting user representative for multiple or more complex systems.
Possible areas of support include Redesigning and implementing of financial systems.
Provide user support and deep expertise of the financial systems to address user support issues that may arise in the Mach 1, CBS or other instances of SAP.
Support and schedule the year end legal entity, statutory, and tax reporting of assets & depreciation schedules.
Participate in problem resolution process involving customer and information services interaction.
Support testing of functionality and upgrades related to Project Systems, CATS, and fixed asset processes.
Provide and maintain accurate user documentation and training as well as detailed process/transaction flows.
Monitor system performance and grief; notify users of announcements, issues or concerns.
Provide ongoing support to promptly address business critical incidents and manage ServiceNow tickets for support of these systems.
Coordinate, participate and occasionally lead small cross-functional teams, with participation from finance (GFSD & Site accountants) and non-finance professionals to ensure customer needs are being met with the systems.
Have a comprehensive understanding of Caterpillar’s business and accounting practices, systems and procedures, specifically capital assets.
Apply accounting knowledge and provide guidance on accounting issues.
Support deployments and participate in testing, training, and hyper care.
Required Qualifications:
4 years degree in Accounting or equivalent or 4 year Non-accounting degree with a minimum of 2/3 years knowledge on FICO (accounting process) in SAP.
2-4 years of Financial systems / support experience.
Proven record of strong initiative, leadership, accountability, and effective communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
Professional Certification (Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent)
SAP certification on FICO modules by recognized organization.
