Founded in 1+86, Super Poly Ltd is a growing, financially stable, and fast paced importer, distributor and manufacturer of high-quality Bulk Packaging and Flexible Packaging products. Our offices are in Edmonton, AB., Winnipeg, MB., Vancouver, BC.
Job Summary
Our Edmonton branch is seeking a detail-oriented person to fill the role of Senior Accountant to support our busy head office with full circle accounting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with other departments maintain accurate financial reporting.
DUTIES:
Accurate and timely financial reporting on a monthly basis
Enter daily journal/ledger entries and daily adjusting entries
Payroll, leave and ROE, and T4 tasks
Federal, Provincial Tax and duties remittances as well as CBSA filing
Internal reporting (sales, inventory turnover, etc)
Invoicing and Payables
Prepare wire payments and bill payment reports
Cost accounting for inventory receipts, reconciliation, and receiving
Maintain the corporate minutes book
Other accounting duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
Post-secondary degree or diploma required in a relevant field (Accounting, Finance, Operations etc.)
Minimum 5 years of accounting or related experience
Quick learner with excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to consistently meet departmental deadlines
Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, ERP, Accounting Software)
Positive attitude with emphasis on teamwork, flexibility and problem solving.
