The State Tax Analyst will work with a wide range of experienced tax professionals on the Marmon tax team. U.S. state income taxes are the primary focus of this position, with exposure to state indirect taxes, federal taxes, and international tax compliance & projects on a regular basis. This full-time position offers a hybrid office work schedule.
What you'll do:
Compile and analyze business unit data and complete U.S. federal corporate income tax returns as well as state and local income tax returns and their associated workpapers.
Prepare and pay quarterly tax estimates to appropriate jurisdictions.
Work with external preparers to hand-off compliance tasks to the State team.
Work with state auditors on examinations of separate-company state & local tax returns.
Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders in Marmon's various business units.
Contribute to tax research, planning, due diligence, and credits & incentives projects.

What you'll bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation is a plus
2-3 years of income tax experience with a public accounting firm or company
Experience with and basic knowledge of corporate taxation
Working towards CPA certification
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to juggle multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment
Good analytical, critical thinking, and writing skills
Ability to work independently with attention to detail
Team player; collaborative with peers
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Experience working with OneSource Tax Provision Software and/or OneStream Financial Reporting Software also a definite plus
Pay Range:
63,333.60 - 95,000.40
