The Opportunity
Reporting to the Team Leader, Stores - this is a great opportunity for you to join our supportive Stores team where you will provide a customer-focused service to our business. A typical day in this role may include:
Preparing items for delivery;
Efficiently loading and unloading items;
Transporting items and spare parts in a safe and timely manner to internal and external customers;
Managing the storage and transportation of packaged raw materials (stock take, pallet control and logistics);
Receiving, storing, issuing, delivering and collecting goods in a safe and efficient manner;
Entering and maintaining details of incoming/outgoing goods, requisitions and invoices in a computerised receivables system; and
Moving heavy items/packages using forklifts or other correct manual handling equipment or techniques.
Do you have the following skills, experience & attributes?
Experience within a similar warehousing or distribution role, ideally in an industrial/manufacturing business;
A current manual driver’s licence and forklift licence with safe driving practices (MR truck licence is also desirable but not essential);
Be well organised with the ability to work autonomously and in a team;
Effective communication skills;
Customer Service focused;
Good decision making skills; and
Competence using computerised systems.
