About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for meaningful work.
The Strategic Advisor role manages emerging issues and areas of risk and ensures effective management of divisional accountabilities including policy and content development, technical advice, strategic divisional planning, reporting, quality assurance, and driving priority policy and project matters on behalf of the CEO.
This role requires a highly experienced advisor with expertise in government, performance improvement, and a strong understanding of the Regulatory Authority's unique challenges and opportunities.
The role is a great opportunity to demonstrate and build on the full set of public sector leadership skills, including collaborating and influencing across stakeholders, driving and reporting on priority matters, and managing risks. In this highly collaborative role, the Strategic Advisor fosters positive culture and engagement across the Regulatory Authority, with the Department's values of accountability, integrity and respect central to all that they do.
This position has line management responsibility for a VPS4 Executive Assistant and Project Officer.

About the Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (VECRA)
The Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (VECRA) is the statutory authority responsible for regulating early childhood education and care services in Victoria. VECRA works to ensure the safety, wellbeing and development of children through effective regulation, compliance, quality assessment and continuous improvement across the early childhood sector.
VECRA plays a critical system management role, providing guidance, oversight and assurance to the sector while supporting high-quality early childhood education outcomes for Victorian children and families.
