Employment Type: Fulltime, 70 Hours per pay period (flexible to accommodate workload)

About the Role

The Strategic Executive Assistant/Community Liaison supports the advancement of the strategic priorities of the Executive Director (ED) through administration, communication and community partnerships. This position executes the strategic vision of the Executive Director, across a range of areas, to achieve longer term operational goals and priorities, managing multiple projects on behalf of the ED in collaboration with the management team, ensuring no duplication of effort.

This position contributes to the successful achievement of the organization’s mission and strategic initiatives by providing support, guidance and oversight necessary to ensure that the NBMFRC has the proper people, processes and systems in place to effectively grow the organization. The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style guided by the objectives of the NBMFRC. This position will liaise with community partners and clients, ensuring the needs of the community are being met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to the following

● Coordinating workflow for ED

● Supporting ED in stakeholder meetings

● Liaising with the community to create new partnerships and meet the needs of our families

● Identifying new initiatives

● Collaborating and connecting with staff and clients

● Participating in Center events and programs

● Providing advice, feedback and sound judgement to Executive Team

● Overseeing timelines and expectations of strategic plan implementation

● Organizing important information electronically and physically

● Maintaining the confidentiality of high-level systems and operations

Required Competencies:

▪ Strong organization skills

▪ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;

▪ Keen attention to detail

▪ Successful Candidate will require Enhanced Reliability Screening, a Criminal Record Check, and a Vulnerable Sector Search.

Preferred Competencies:

▪ Bilingual (English/French);

▪ Experience in non-profit organizations within New Brunswick;

▪ Experience with strategic oversight;

▪ Ability to work independently and collaboratively;

▪ Ability to work flexible hours;

▪ Experience with Military Lifestyle is a strong asset.

L'assistant(e) exécutif(ve) stratégique/agent de liaison communautaire soutient l'avancement des priorités stratégiques de la directrice exécutive (DE) par le biais de l'administration, des communications et des partenariats communautaires. Ce poste exécute la vision stratégique de la directrice exécutive, dans divers domaines, pour atteindre les objectifs et les priorités opérationnelles à plus long terme, en gérant plusieurs projets au nom de la directrice exécutive en collaboration avec l'équipe de direction, en veillant à ce qu'il n'y ait pas de duplication des efforts.

Ce poste contribue à la réussite de la mission et des initiatives stratégiques de l’organisation en fournissant le soutien, les conseils et la supervision nécessaires pour s’assurer que le CRFMNB dispose des personnes, des processus et des systèmes appropriés pour développer efficacement l’organisation. Le poste accomplit cela grâce à un style respectueux, constructif et énergétique guidé par les objectifs du CRFMNB. Ce poste assurera la liaison avec les partenaires communautaires et les clients, en veillant à ce que les besoins de la communauté soient satisfaits.

Fonctions et responsabilités :

Incluant, mais sans s'y limiter, les éléments suivants

● Coordination du flux de travail pour les urgences;

● Soutenir la DE lors des rencontres avec les intervenants;

● Assurer la liaison avec la communauté pour créer de nouveaux partenariats et répondre aux besoins de nos familles;

● Identifier de nouvelles initiatives;

● Collaborer et établir des liens avec le personnel et les clients;

● Participer aux événements et programmes du Centre;

● Fournir des conseils, des commentaires et un jugement éclairé à l'équipe de direction;

● Superviser les échéanciers et les attentes de la mise en œuvre du plan stratégique;

● Organiser les renseignements importants électroniquement et physiquement;

● Maintenir la confidentialité des systèmes et des opérations de haut niveau.

Compétences requises :

● Solides compétences organisationnelles;

● Excellentes compétences en communication, tant verbale qu'écrite;

● Un grand souci du détail;

● Le/la candidat(e) retenu(e) devra se soumettre à une vérification de fiabilité approfondie, à une vérification du casier judiciaire et à une recherche de secteur vulnérable.

Compétences privilégiées :

● Bilingue (anglais/français) ;

● Expérience dans des organismes sans but lucratif au Nouveau-Brunswick;

● Expérience en supervision stratégique ;

● Capacité de travailler de manière autonome et collaborative ;

● Capacité de travailler selon des horaires flexibles;

● L'expérience du mode de vie militaire est un atout majeur;
