About this opportunity:
Celestica's Global Supply Chain operates as a unified virtual system with our customers and suppliers by acting as seamless extensions of their operations. We offer customized, flexible and integrated supply chain solutions, supported by a global technology platform and a dedicated, market-focused team.


We are currently seeking a Student Intern for our Supply Line Management Team, based out of Toronto


Preferred Skills:

Works within established professional standards and practices.
Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions.
Unusual problems are solved jointly with the manager.
Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers, and internal service.
Strong knowledge of basic computer applications and the ability to learn and use multiple applications specific to this department including ERP and office systems (SAP, Rapid Response, Scavenger, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint )
Knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem resolution skills
Ability to consolidate, manipulate and analyze large quantities of data.
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.


Activities:

Timely responsiveness to given demand upsides
Leading or participating in supplier and customer meetings
Assisting with material logistical issues where required.
Acts as a liaison between Site Supply Chain Team and Commodity Management Team on critical parts and supplier related issues
Consolidates and escalates all critical shortages until resolved
Help inventory push out due to demand and revenue downside.


Physical Demands, duties of this position are varied and will include:

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
