Cozen O’Connor’s Denver office seeks a department attorney for the Subrogation & Recovery Department. The department attorney will be responsible for intaking, reviewing and handling 300+ claims per year, each involving a property damage loss above $100,000.00. The department attorney will be responsible for coordinating the investigation, including retention and management of experts, identifying potential theories of liability, and client reporting, all to achieve a thorough and efficient process of “triaging” new losses for purposes of having viable claims assigned to production attorneys, with department attorneys retaining responsibility for evaluating and ultimately closing the non-viable claims. Department attorneys also will be responsible for litigating viable subrogation claims that are handled by our subsidiary, National Subrogation Services, in the range of $50,000.00 to $100,000.00.
The salary range for this role is $115k-120k. Discretionary bonuses may also be available. This role's benefits include paid time off, medical/dental, life insurance, short/long-term disability, and a retirement plan.
