The Marketing Coordinator - Campaign Planning and Strategist is responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing strategic marketing campaigns, with a specific focus on End-of-Year (EOY) and Ramadan fundraising initiatives. This role requires a combination of analytical skills, creative messaging development, and cross-departmental collaboration to maximize donor engagement and campaign success.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with Digital Advertising:
Campaign Support:
Help set up and monitor ad campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and TikTok Ads.
Assist with keyword research and audience targeting strategies.
Content Creation:
Draft ad copy or suggest creative ideas for visuals under the supervision of the marketing team.
Performance Tracking:
Learn to use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Ads reporting) to track basic metrics like impressions, clicks, and conversions.
Summarize performance data into reports for team review.

Website Content Updates:
Basic Content Management:
Update website pages with new content, including blog posts, events, or campaign details.
SEO Basics:
Assist with keyword research and apply SEO best practices to content (e.g., writing meta descriptions, optimizing titles).
Testing and Troubleshooting:
Test website features such as donation forms or event sign-ups to ensure functionality and report any issues.

Analytics and Reporting:
Learn to interpret basic analytics reports for both ads and website traffic.
Create weekly summary reports highlighting key trends or findings.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to suggest data-driven improvements.

Collaboration and Learning:
Work closely with the marketing and design teams to execute tasks and gain exposure to campaign strategy.
Attend team meetings to gain insight into the planning and execution of marketing initiatives.
Shadow team members to understand the workflow of digital marketing campaigns and website management.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:

Currently studying or have studied Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related program.
Basic knowledge of digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, etc.) is a plus.
Strong written communication skills for drafting content.
Familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
Video and photography experience is an asset, particularly for creating content for digital ads or social media.
Eligibility

This position is part of the Canadian government’s summer job program.
Candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or a protected person within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Able to provide a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN).
Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
