Job Summary
We are seeking a Systems Administrator to support a 24/7 manufacturing IT infrastructure
environment.
This role involves managing the full stack from hardware (Cisco UCS) and virtualization
(VMware) to core services (Active Directory) and application delivery (Citrix), ensuring high
availability and performance for MES systems.
Key Responsibilities
IT Support & Operations
Monitor and resolve ServiceNow tickets related to Windows access, storage alerts, Citrix
performance, MES accounts, laptops, printers/scanners, and network issues
Provide general troubleshooting for shop floor devices
Backup & Disaster Recovery
Manage enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Dell EMC Avamar)
Support backup and recovery for virtualized and physical MES environments
Infrastructure Management
Maintain VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) environments
Manage Cisco UCS hardware infrastructure
Core Services Administration
Administer Windows Server, Active Directory (AD-DS), GPOs, DNS, and DHCP
Ensure secure and compliant system operations
Application Delivery (Citrix)
Support Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops environment
Ensure reliable access for plant floor and remote users
MES Support
Provide Tier 3/4 support for MES-related infrastructure issues
Collaborate with application teams and vendors
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with FDA and GxP standards
Maintain documentation (SOPs, backup configs, DR plans)
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of systems administration experience in manufacturing environments
Experience Supporting MES Platforms (e.g., Siemens, Emerson Preferred)
Technical Expertise
Backup Solutions: Veeam, Commvault, Dell EMC Avamar
VMware: vSphere, ESXi, vCenter
Hardware: Cisco UCS
Microsoft: Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP
Citrix: Virtual Apps/Desktops
Networking: Cisco switches (L2/L3, VLANs), wireless, basic voice gateway
Soft Skills
