As a Talent Acquisition Lead for the Country, you will lead multiple teams and have accountability for defining and implementing segmented talent strategies for businesses across IT, Commercial, R&D, Global Business Services and Operations in collaboration with a wide set of stakeholders that involve business leaders, business partners, CoE’s and Hiring managers. You'll be immersed into the business and be able to proactively anticipate talent needs, building talent pipelines, align to strategic workforce plans and create a compelling proposition for the AstraZeneca brand.

The role would be part of the India HR Leadership team and report to The Country HR Director and will work closely with Global Talent Acquisition Leaders.

Key Duties and Accountabilities

Create, steer, and evolve the talent strategy and align with AstraZeneca’s firm priorities and anticipate business's need and growth

Be a critical business partner and provide thought leadership on recruiting philosophy, process and tooling to meet business objectives

Lead a best-in-class recruiting engine and operating model complete with an extensive knowledge base of sourcing, screening, and selecting the best candidates in the market

Build, manage, coach, empower, and develop a high-performing geographically dispersed team hiring across multiple geographies

Align with Global Recruitment and country policies/guidelines

Counsel and educate managers on market intelligence and trends, recruitment channels and campaigns

Create engagement plans and initiatives for superior candidate & employee experiences

Be responsible for creating a compelling talent brand and strategic early talent sourcing

Essential Requirements

15+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition across multiple domains of IT, Commercial Operations, R&D, Global Business Services and Operations

Full life cycle recruitment experience in a sophisticated global environment

Demonstrable experience in Transformation, Early Talent and Employer Branding projects

Innate talent for stakeholder management and ability to cultivate relationships

Desirable Requirements

Corporate recruiting experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry

Extensive knowledge of government regulations regarding employment topics in more than one geography
