Job Description
Talent Resourcer/HR Coordinator
People, Culture and Brand | Human Resources
Closing date: 11/03/2026
When you join MercyCare, you become part of something bigger than a job. You join a community of people who show up for Western Australians at the moments that matter most - from early learning and disability support, to family, community and aged care services. We live by our values of respect, integrity, compassion, justice, excellence and courage, and we are committed to safeguarding and protecting children, young people and vulnerable people in our community.
About the role
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where no two days look the same. You’ll be right in the action supporting our Talent Team with everything from sourcing great people and posting job ads, to shortlisting candidates, phone screening, booking interviews, managing inboxes and enquiries, collecting compliance, and running background checks. Along the way, you’ll gain exposure across all MercyCare portfolios and build a solid recruitment skillset that sets you up for a long-term career in Talent.
You’ll also dip into a range of HR tasks that support the full employee lifecycle, giving you a great taste of both recruitment and HR and helping you grow your experience beyond just hiring.
You’ll be a key part of keeping our recruitment processes running smoothly while also finding ways to make them better, faster and more enjoyable for everyone involved. This role is perfect for someone ready to step beyond junior level, who genuinely loves people and wants to grow in Talent and HR. Coming from an agency and keen to move in-house? Ready to take ownership of end-to-end recruitment for volume roles? You’ll feel right at home here.
Just as important as the work is our team culture. We’re big on starting the day with coffee, supporting each other, having a laugh, and celebrating wins together. We’re driven, collaborative, and proud of what we achieve as a team and we’re looking for someone who wants to jump in, have fun, and grow with us.
About you
You’ll bring a practical, proactive approach and the initiative to quickly build knowledge and confidence in your role. You’ll be confident giving things a go, ready to pick up the phone, start making calls, and hit the ground running. You’ll enjoy supporting the wider team and stepping in wherever needed, while being motivated to learn from your peers and progress your career.
In addition, you will also possess:
Tertiary level qualifications in Human Resource Management or related discipline is desired but not required
Prior experience in volume recruitment and the ability to work to targets
Proactive in seeking out information to confidently answer candidate and stakeholder queries
A keen eye for detail and ensuring all compliance adheres to applicable legal and regulatory standards
Systems savvy across Microsoft Office suite with the ability to learn new systems quickly
Strong ability to organise your time and work effectively
A love of customer service and helping others to achieve outcomes
