Tally Accountant

Job Title: Tally Expert with Compliance Knowledge and Administrative skills.

Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Tally Expert with expertise in compliance-related tasks such as banking reconciliation, GST, and TDS. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Tally software, be proficient in managing financial records, and possess the ability to assist the auditor team. This role also requires effective coordination between the accounting and sales teams, efficient management of collections, handling purchase documentation, and familiarity with ERP systems would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

Tally Accounting and Compliance:

Utilize Tally software to perform accurate accounting functions, including data entry, ledger maintenance, and financial report generation.
Update Tally with the latest compliance regulations related to banking reconciliation, GST, and TDS.
Ensure adherence to tax regulations and compliance guidelines in all financial transactions.

Assist Auditor Team:

Collaborate with the auditor team to provide necessary financial data and support during audits.
Prepare and maintain relevant documentation required for internal and external audits.
Address auditor queries and provide clarification as needed.

Coordinate Between Accounting and Sales Teams:

Facilitate effective communication between the accounting and sales teams.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of sales transactions and reconciliation of sales data in Tally.
Collaborate with sales representatives to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices, receipts, or customer accounts.

Collection Management and Follow-up:

Monitor outstanding payments and efficiently manage collections.
Follow up with customers and ensure timely receipt of payments.
Maintain accurate records of collections and update Tally accordingly.

Purchase Documentation Handling:

Manage purchase documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
Verify purchase-related data and ensure proper recording in Tally.
Coordinate with vendors to resolve any purchase-related discrepancies or issues.

Familiarity with ERP Systems (Added Advantage):

Possess knowledge or experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Assist in integrating Tally with ERP systems for seamless data transfer and reporting.

Requirements:

Proven expertise and experience as a Tally Expert, with in-depth knowledge of Tally software.
Familiarity with compliance requirements, including banking reconciliation, GST, and TDS.
Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and bookkeeping practices.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including accounting, sales, and auditing.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Prior experience with ERP systems is an added advantage.
