Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and taxation, with a focus on providing accurate and timely sales and use tax returns, financial statements, process payroll, payroll returns and assist with general office duties.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for businesses.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information for tax return preparation
- Prepare financial statements and reports for tax purposes
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Tax Accountant or similar role
- Proficiency in clerical tasks related to accounting
- Knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation
- Experience in asset management and private equity taxation
- Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping principles
- Strong understanding of financial sales and investments
- Ability to work with accounting and software such as Quickbooks
- Experience in sales or working with sales-related taxes is a plus
THIS IS AN IN PERSON FULL TIME 9-530 M-F POSITION.
Note: We are a lifestyle accounting firm, meaning no more, no less than 40 hours worked during slow season or busy season. Perfect for CPA test takers.
