The candidate will collaborate with clients, partners, and staff to provide comprehensive tax advisory and compliance services. Qualifications include a CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification or active pursuit of either credential, experience in the preparation of tax returns, a willingness to learn, and a passion for accounting and taxation. Experience with Lacerte tax software and QuickBooks is a plus but not required.
Duties include the following:
• Preparation of individual, corporate, fiduciary, and partnership tax returns.
• Perform review of tax returns prepared by tax staff or interns.
• Conduct basic to complex tax research.
• Conduct tax planning for individual, corporate, partnership, estate, gift, and trust tax clients.
• Review federal, state, and local tax notices and draft responses.
• Perform bookkeeping related services for business clients, including compilation of financial statements and assistance with QuickBooks accounting software.
• Participate in firm wide administrative projects.
• Function as key client contact and relationship management for certain engagements.
• Develop a network of industry peers and business contacts, meet with prospective clients, and cultivate referral business.

Pay: Negotiable depending on experience

Ability to commute/relocate:
• Englewood, CO 80112: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Minimum Education:
• Bachelor's (Required) Experience:
• Tax preparation experience is required
License/Certification:
• CPA or working towards a CPA License in the state of Colorado
• IRS Enrolled Agent or working towards EA certification
Work Location: Our stand-alone office building in the Inverness Business Park (1-25 and County Line) with large individual offices and free parking. Remote work from home is available on a limited basis.
