Tax and Accounting Associate Location: Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Level: 2–4 years
Tax and Accounting Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in U.S. tax return preparation, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. This role requires working knowledge of major accounting software and the ability to manage multiple client engagements.
S. federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065)
Handle quarterly estimated taxes, extensions, and annual filings
Respond to IRS/state notices and support tax audits
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintain general ledger, post journal entries, and prepare financial reports
Manage depreciation schedules and fixed asset tracking
Communicate with clients regarding financial data and deadlines
Ensure timely and accurate filings and financial statements
Software Proficiency:
QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Xero
Accounting CS (Thomson Reuters)
Microsoft Excel
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2-4 years of experience with U.S. tax and accounting
CPA or EA certification (or pursuing)
Experience working with U.based clients or CPA firms
Familiarity with multi-state tax filing
