ING Australia’s finance division is looking to hire a Ta Consultant to join our ta team.
In this role you will work with the ta team to meet ta compliance obligations including income ta returns, FBT, GST, Activity Statements, PAYG instalments, payroll ta returns, AIIR and monitoring and remittance of PAYG withholding ta.
You will also help analyse GL ta sensitive accounts for various ta reporting purposes on a regular basis. You will reconcile GL ta accounts as well as prepare ta provisions on a quarterly basis including head office reports and relevant ta journals, reconciliations and left-hand notes, VTTC, compilation of transfer pricing documentation. There will also be preparation of responses to queries, request for information, reviews and audits conducted by Ta Authorities.
This role would suit a ta professional with 2/3 years+ eperience at a professional services firm or another corporate company in Australia. Financial Services eperience would be nice to have but is not a requirement for the role.

What you’ll do
Day to day compliance and ta reporting obligations of all ING entities in Australia and the associated trusts, including the preparation and review of ta calculations, reporting and payment of all taation liabilities to internal business units and eternal ta
and revenue authorities
Monthly preparation of various returns and lodgment with ta
and revenue authorities including analysis of these
Preparation and processing of ta journals and monthly reconciliation of ta accounts, ta analysis of ta sensitive accounts for various ta
reporting purposes and transfer pricing documentation including Country by Country Reporting
Assistance in provision of ta
advice to various business units
Identify and implement ta processes and internal control improvements for operational effectiveness and effective management of ta
risks
What we’re looking for
Minimum 2-3 years’ ta eperience in professional firms or commerce, it is not a requirement but it would be beneficial to have financial services e
perience
Advanced understanding of accounting or ta
discipline or related analytical role
Ability to research, interpret and apply legislations, case laws and ATO rulings to current issues/queries
Intermediate Microsoft E
cel and Word skills
Willing to adapt and learn in-house reporting systems
Demonstrated systems skills to proactively assist in transitioning to a new financial management system
