Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced US Tax Real Estate 1065 Manager to join our team. As a Manager in US tax laws and regulations related to real estate partnerships, you will be responsible for providing tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to our clients. Your expertise in partnership taxation, specifically under Internal Revenue Code Section 1065, will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting for real estate partnerships.
Responsibilities:
• Tax Planning Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop tax planning strategies that optimize their real estate partnership structures and minimize tax liabilities.
• Compliance: Prepare and review partnership tax returns (Form 1065) and related schedules, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Partnership Taxation: Possess a deep understanding of partnership taxation rules, including allocations, distributions, capital accounts, and Section 704(b) regulations.
• Real Estate Taxation: Stay up to date with current real estate tax laws and regulations, including depreciation rules, passive activity loss limitations, and Section 1031 exchanges.
• Advisory Services: Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on various tax matters, such as acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and restructuring of real estate partnerships.
• Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and interpret tax laws to provide accurate and reliable advice to clients.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their trusted tax advisor and addressing their tax-related concerns and inquiries.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accountants, attorneys, and real estate professionals, to deliver comprehensive tax solutions to clients.
• Compliance Monitoring: Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, proactively identifying potential risks or opportunities for clients and providing recommendations accordingly.
• Quality Assurance: Perform quality control reviews of tax workpapers, calculations, and returns to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
