Job Details
Responsibilities
• Overseeing all aspects of tax accounting and compliance, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.
• Preparing and reviewing accurate and timely tax returns.
• Developing and implementing strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
• Managing members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
• Conducting complex tax research and preparing documentation for ongoing tax projects.
• Collaborating with internal and external auditors during financial and tax audits.
• Evaluating current tax processes and procedures and making recommendations for improvements.
• Staying current on tax laws and industry regulations, providing guidance and updates to the team and senior management.
• Serving as a key contact for tax-related queries, providing expert advice and guidance.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tax preparation.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and laws at the federal, state, and local levels.
