Job Title: Remote Tax Planner & Accountant
Compensation: $80,000 per year
Location: Nationwide (100% Remote)
Company: National 8-figure marketing and services firm
Position Overview
We are an established, high-growth national company expanding into a new division: Income Tax Preparation. We leverage sophisticated online marketing, including dedicated email, SMS, and media buying teams, to ensure a consistent flow of high-quality leads.
We are seeking a versatile Tax Professional to manage both high-level planning and technical preparation for our external clients and internal corporate needs.
Key Responsibilities
Your time will be divided between client-facing services and internal corporate strategy:
Client Services (70%):
Prepare and plan federal and state tax returns for small business owners and individuals.
Address complex tax scenarios, including current year planning and resolving previous years' back tax debt (up to three years prior).
Develop proactive tax savings strategies for the upcoming fiscal year.
Internal & Executive Strategy (30%):
Manage internal corporate tax preparation and filings for the company.
Oversee tax preparation for internal employees.
Work directly with the CEO on high-level tax planning strategies, specifically focusing on optimization through the Puerto Rico Act (Act 60).
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Tax Preparer, Accountant, or Tax Planner.
Strong understanding of small business tax structures and debt resolution.
Experience with (or a strong desire to master) specialized tax acts like the Puerto Rico Act.
Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
