We are seeking a Tax Senior Accountant - Public for our team based in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role will involve a wide range of responsibilities, focusing on tax returns for various entities and reviewing financial statements for small companies. This role is integral to the smooth running of our operations and will require a detail-oriented and organized approach.
Responsibilities
• Handle tax returns for corporate entities, partnerships, LLCs, and individuals
• Perform quarterly accounting reviews for multiple small companies
• Review financial statements for accuracy and identify variances
• Make necessary adjustments to financial statements as needed
• Utilize Lacerte Tax Software in the execution of job responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Carry out auditing tasks as required
• Perform other accounting functions as needed
• Manage individual tax returns effectively
• Handle corporate tax returns efficiently

Requirements
• Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• A minimum of three years of experience in public accounting
• Proficiency in performing accounting functions and auditing tasks
• Strong knowledge of compliance procedures and financial statement preparation
• Experience in preparing corporate tax returns, individual tax returns, and partnership tax returns
• Familiarity with Lacerte Tax Software is desirable
• Comprehensive knowledge of tax regulations and procedures, including those relevant to individuals and partnerships
• Ability to interpret and apply tax regulations to business operations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
