About the Role

Support Classroom Instruction: Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and activities, providing one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and organised classroom environment by managing student behaviour and ensuring adherence to classroom rules.
Preparation of Materials: prepare educational materials and resources for lessons. including setting up and cleaning up before and after activities.
Student Supervision: Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and transitions to ensure their safety and well-being.
Provide Support for Diverse Learners: Adapt instructional materials and activities to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
Communication: Maintain open communication with the teacher regarding student progress and any concerns about individual students.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to support the overall goals of the educational program.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

About You
Preferable but not necessary

A current Senior First Aid Certificate or equivalent.
A current competency standard of Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate III, or successful assessment against the required competency standards for the Certificate III in Education Support
Experience in Education: precious experience working in a classroom setting or with children in an educational context.
