A bit about the role

Join our team as a Landscape Approvals Team Leader, reporting to the Coordinator Landscape, you'll take charge of managing the landscape approvals process with efficiency and a customer-centric approach. Leading a small team, you'll coordinate pre and post-permit processes, ensuring design outcomes align with public realm standards. Collaborating with developers, consultants, and internal stakeholders, you'll negotiate effectively to achieve optimal results. Your role involves close liaison with various council units, facilitating seamless integration of landscape plans with growth area developments. What you’ll do

Lead a small team to ensure efficient management of the landscape approvals process.
Collaborate with developers and consultants to deliver high-quality design outcomes.
Conduct thorough assessments of subdivision landscape and urban design proposals.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless integration of landscape plans with development projects.

What you’ll bring

Experience and a demonstrated understanding of the principles and practice of the design of public space as it relates to environment, social and economic development
Leadership experience
Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills with the ability to communicate collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
Landscape Architecture / Urban Design qualifications will be highly regarded
A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
