Position DescriptionBusiness Division:CorporateDepartment:LegalLocation:GurgaonPosition Title:Team Member - ContractsLevel: Junior ManagementReporting to (Title):Head - ContractsPosition PurposeTo support the Head - Contracts in matters relating to contracts, preparation of legal documents, resolution of legal issues, contractual communication and commitments. The role is to ensure management of contracts and contentious matters so that the company operates within the law at all times and limit risk exposure, create an effective guardian of the organisation.Strategic ResponsibilitiesBe up to date on legal issues and processes, analyse new laws and regulations for potential impact and protection of interest of the company.Assist Head Legal in drafting template of contracts for the Company and streamline the contract management system.Giving accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topicsSpecifying internal governance policies and regularly monitor complianceOperational ResponsibilitiesSupport / prepare all legal documentation, resolution of legal issues, contractual communication and commitments.Draft, interpret, analyse and negotiate contracts, review contractual documents for accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, internal policies and business team objective prior to signature, execution and acceptance, keeping in view company's interest, to minimize the risk of the company and safeguard the company and its officials, while executing the bonds, affidavit and like papersMaintain and ensure proper contract management system.Assist Head Legal in managing contract management system including training, reporting, archiving.Work with members of legal department on compliance initiatives, and on planning and executing process improvements and training.Support in preparation of policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.Interact and represent the best interest of the company in dealing with external parties like regulatory agencies, legal firms, etc.As and when needed, support in the on-going litigations of the company.Financial ResponsibilitiesProvide quarterly representation letter on compliance of legal matters to Head LegalPeople ResponsibilitiesReview team and individual performance and provide feedback on strength and development and drive action plans for improvement.Attend trainings on training needs identified or imparted by HR.Education QualificationLLB with excellent academic credentialsWork Experience4 to 6 years of legal experience with exposure to contract management specifically NDA, Service Agreement, Lease Deeds, Distribution Agreement, Marketing Agreement and legal drafting of notices coming from various authorities, and handling litigation.Industry to be Hired fromAny Industry. Preference will be given to person with Pharma or Chemical Industry background.Functional CompetenciesOverall broad legal knowledge (Civil Law, Criminal Law, Contract Management, recovery litigations, etc.)In depth understanding of how legal issues affect organizations.Analytical, attention to details.
