A rare opportunity has arisen in the Technical Accounting team for a Technical Accountant to take on the Society's IFRS + provisioning. This is a great opportunity to gain some invaluable experience of a very technical area of Finance
About the role
As the Technical Accountant you will:
• Calculate and prepare monthly IFRS + provisioning for certain mortgage portfolios
• Produce quarterly and annual reporting on the Society's provisioning
• Work closely with Credit Risk and Modelling teams to ensure effective reporting and compliance with IFRS +
Please note that this is a 12 month FTC. This is also a hybrid role; remote working with some onsite presence in our central Leeds office.
About you
To succeed in this role you will be:
• A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Highly numerate, intellectually strong and capable of digesting and interpreting technical information
• Rigorous, methodical and well organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver to deadlines
