QERY AI is India’s first AI-powered search and reasoning startup based in Surat, India.
We are building two flagship products:
• QERY Search – an AI search engine that delivers real-time, cited answers with human-like reasoning (like Perplexity, but built for India).
• QERY Mind – an institutional AI brain trained on private organizational data, designed to help companies access, understand, and use their knowledge intelligently.
Our mission is to redefine how people and organizations search, learn, and make decisions — through intelligent, context-aware AI systems made in India for the world.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Co-Founder / Technical Head, based in Surat, India.
You will lead the technical foundation of QERY AI, overseeing product architecture, backend development, and AI integrations.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
• Collaborating closely with the Founder & CEO to define and implement the tech roadmap.
• Leading backend and API development using Node.js (Express.js / NestJS).
• Managing a small but growing tech team and ensuring delivery quality.
• Integrating AI/LLM APIs and database systems for QERY Search and QERY Mind.
• Ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of all technology solutions.
• Actively contributing to product brainstorming, feature planning, and innovation.
Qualifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Leadership and team management potential.
• Solid understanding of Node.js and backend fundamentals.
• Interest or experience in AI integrations (OpenAI, Llama, Pinecone, RAG systems) is a strong plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to work in an early-stage startup environment.
• Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of experience (freshers with strong skillsets are welcome).
• You don’t need to know everything — if you’re curious and committed, we’ll find a way to learn, build, and solve it together.
Compensation
• Equity: 5–10% (based on skills & contribution).
• Salary (Post-Funding): ₹30,000 – ₹50,000/month. (We will raise funding within 1 month)
• Work Type: Full-time, On-site (Surat, India).
