About the role
As Technical Officer (Facilities and Asset Maintenance) you will be part of the Facility and Asset Maintenance team and responsible for condition monitoring and maintenance planning. Your main focus will be to provide specialist technical knowledge and operational planning to maximise the lifecycle of Council owned facilities.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Develop and monitor maintenance programs on properties such as corporate and community buildings, depots, park, sport and aquatic facilities to achieve maximum life of the facility and to ensure fit for purpose
Provide advice in the planning and development of annual budgets and assist the section with monthly detailed monitoring and reporting
Coordinate and conduct annual facility condition inspections and provide maintenance defect reports for trade repairs and identify assets that require rehabilitation or renewal
Prepare tender document information, undertake tender evaluations, and manage procurement obligations pertaining to contracts, goods and service required by the trade teams
Manage maintenance and rehabilitation projects ensuring scope, time, quality, and budget management are achieved

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
Certificate 4 in Building or Builders Licence or Qualification in Architecture
Substantial knowledge and experience in a supervisory or technical role in building, construction, operations, and maintenance works
High level of written and oral communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Extensive skills in planning and coordinating maintenance and operational work programs at facilities
Extensive organisation, negotiation, prioritisation, and time management skills

This is a full time position with a salary commencing at $105,560 plus 12.5% superannuation.
