Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Officer Tree and Vegetation Management to join our Infrastructure and Natural Assets Group.
This is a rare operational leadership opportunity to oversee and supervise work crews involved in tree and vegetation management.
ABOUT YOU
Formal qualification in Arboriculture/Horticulture/Natural Resource Management, and/or significant relevant experience.
Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated experience in successfully leading a team through effective management, coaching, and motivation of team members and achieving the organisation’s goals and objectives.
Initiative, resourcefulness and the ability to solve problems.
Understanding of, and experience in contemporary management practices, including:
Safety management.
Asset management.
Risk management.
Resource management (budget).
WHAT WE OFFER YOU
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) and ongoing role. A base salary between $8+,760.55 and $++,774.18 will be negotiated with the preferred candidate + 12.5% superannuation and a +-day fortnight. The successful candidate will have commuter use of a vehicle.
The successful candidate will participate on Council’s After-Hours Emergency Callout and Overtime Roster (1:7). Remuneration for after-hours emergency callout and overtime roster provisions will be in accordance with the Clarence City Council Enterprise Agreement #11/2021 or its successor.
