Role: Telecommunications Design Engineer
Location: Brisbane, Australia - Hybrid/Remote/Onsite

Key responsibilities
Interpret and comply with telecommunications standards, customer needs, and operational requirements.
Produce and conduct the final sign-off of telecommunications designs.
Produce telecommunications designs and ensure compliance with telecommunications standards, and functional design documentation.
Perform independent review tasks.
Draft and produce initial telecommunications designs by implementing principles, standards, and functional design requirements.
Ensure designs are checked against telecommunications standards and industry best practices.
Abide by applicable workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Any other duty assigned to you having regard to your skills, training and experience.
Key competencies and experience
Degree in Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification acceptable for corporate membership of Engineers Australia.
An equivalent pathway may be considered for Telecommunications Certificate IV, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field.
Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) accreditation.
5+ years of experience in railway telecommunications.
