ABOUT ROLE SUMMARY Nurse is responsible for providing telehealth support, assisting patients with their medical inquiries, and ensuring smooth coordination between doctors, pharmacies, and administrative teams. This role involves reviewing patient information, offering education on treatment plans, supporting clinical compliance, and maintaining accurate documentation. Nurses play a crucial role in facilitating patient care, triaging inquiries, and ensuring adherence to telehealth protocols and regulatory requirements. This role will be part of our nursing team in Candor. This position is open for both full-time and part-time work, with remote options available. If you're located on the Gold Coast, you can also choose to work from our office. ABOUT THE ROLE Supporting Clinical Operations: Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice by assessing patient intake forms, conducting thorough medical history reviews, assisting doctors, triaging patients, and coordinating care. Patient Triage and Assessment: Review patient information and inquiries via text-based communication, ensuring accurate triage and appropriate clinical decision-making. Providing Patient Education & Support: Offer patients guidance on managing their conditions, medication usage, and general health inquiries related to their medicinal ******** treatment. Ensure patients receive clear, evidence-based health information. Collecting Collateral Information: Gather relevant clinical history, supporting documentation, and external reports to assist doctors in developing comprehensive treatment plans for patients. Ensuring Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and professional telehealth nursing standards, including privacy, confidentiality, and documentation requirements. Stay up to date with relevant regulations and practice guidelines. Developing and Implementing Policies & Procedures: Contribute to the development of nursing protocols, patient assessment guidelines, and telehealth workflows to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Patient Satisfaction & Experience: Assist in improving patient experience by providing timely responses to patient queries, following up on concerns, and ensuring a seamless virtual healthcare journey. Address patient complaints and escalate issues as required. Collaborating with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with the clinical team, administrative staff, and external providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated patient care. Escalation of Care: Identify when patient concerns require urgent medical attention or further review and escalate cases to the Practice Manager or Clinical Lead as appropriate. Ongoing Patient Communication : Maintain follow-up contact with patients where necessary to provide updates, clarify treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care. Clinical Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. ABOUT YOU: Current AHPRA Nurse registration – Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse. 2 years Registered/Enrolled Nursing experience highly regarded. Prior medical practice experience. Excellent conversationalist with exceptional communication skills. Ability to work effectively & efficiently within the interdisciplinary team. A sense of compassion and professionalism. Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks. Have a current (or ability to obtain) National Police Certificate. Passionate & Positive mindset.
