Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work for interior projects.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for all interior works including finishes, joinery, partitions, ceilings, flooring, and FF&E.
• Develop accurate cost estimates, rate analysis, pricing strategies, and margin calculations.
• Coordinate with MEP teams to incorporate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting interfaces within interior scope.
• Float inquiries to vendors and subcontractors, evaluate quotations, and finalize techno-commercial comparisons.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, timelines, warranties, and contractual conditions with vendors/subcontractors.
• Prepare complete technical and commercial bid submissions within stipulated timelines.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client clarifications as required.
• Ensure compliance with tender requirements, company standards, safety norms, and ISO procedures.
• Maintain tender database, cost benchmarks, vendor rate cards, and bid history records.
• Conduct post-bid handover to project execution teams with clear scope, assumptions, and costing details.
• Support management with bid/no-bid analysis, value engineering options, and risk assessment.
Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out works and materials with coordination of MEP services.
• Excellent understanding of drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced), AutoCAD (for measurement review), and estimation tools.
• Sound commercial knowledge of contracts, BOQs, billing formats, and subcontract agreements.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.
• Leadership skills to guide and review work of junior estimation/tendering engineers.
Qualification
• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or relevant field.
• Formal training in estimation or quantity surveying will be an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
• Experience in large corporate interior fit-outs, IT offices, commercial buildings, or data center interiors.
• Exposure to turnkey projects involving both Interior and MEP coordination.
• Prior experience with corporate clients, MNCs, or large contractors is preferred.
