Position Overview

The Pre-School Teacher is responsible for providing nurturing and developmentally appropriate education to young children (ages 3–5). The role focuses on fostering a safe, stimulating, and creative learning environment that prepares children for formal schooling, emphasizing play-based and experiential learning.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Utilize play-based learning approaches including storytelling, arts and crafts, music, and interactive games.
• Monitor and document children’s developmental milestones and learning progress.
• Create a safe, hygienic, and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
• Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and wellbeing.
• Manage classroom routines, discipline, and children's behavior with patience and empathy.
• Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
• Maintain accurate records related to attendance, health, and development.
• Attend professional development sessions and contribute to curriculum development.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:
• Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or equivalent certification.
• Additional certifications in child psychology or special needs education are a plus.

Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching preschool or early childhood education.
• Experience in handling children aged 3–5 years in a classroom setting.

Skills & Competencies:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and ability to engage young learners.
• Knowledge of child safety, hygiene, and health protocols.
• Ability to design and implement age-appropriate learning activities.
• Familiarity with play-based and experiential learning methods.
• Team player with good organizational skills.
