Teacher Leadership & Development
Mentor and coach teachers in classroom leadership and Montessori practice
Support onboarding and training of new teachers
Provide regular feedback and guidance to strengthen classroom culture
Help build a collaborative, professional teaching team
Guide the school’s growth from Montessori-inspired practices toward deeper Montessori alignment
Support teachers in implementing Montessori work cycles and classroom environments
Help ensure classrooms reflect Montessori principles of independence, order, beauty, and purposeful work

Position Overview

The Director of Operations & Montessori Program Administration is responsible for the daily functioning, professional culture, and organizational strength of the school.

This individual ensures that classrooms run smoothly, teachers are supported and mentored, families are welcomed into the community, and clear systems are in place that allow the school to grow. The role requires someone who combines warm authority with children, strong operational leadership, and a deep understanding of Montessori philosophy.

This is a hands-on leadership role. The Director must be comfortable supporting classrooms directly, mentoring teachers through observation and modeling, and stepping in to teach when needed during transitions or training periods.

Core Responsibilities

School Operations

Oversee the daily operations of the school and ensure smooth, organized functioning

Establish clear routines, procedures, and systems that support teachers and students

Qualifications

Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or equivalent preferred)

Classroom teaching experience in a Montessori environment

Experience mentoring or supervising teachers preferred

Strong organizational and operational leadership skills

Ability to build systems and maintain high professional standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
