Job Description
The Retail HR Manager is responsible for overseeing the HR functions within the retail division of the company. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail , excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top retail talent.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, campus hiring etc
- Collaborate with store operations team to understand staffing needs and ensure timely hiring.
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate actions.
Performance Management:
- Oversee the performance appraisal process, including setting objectives, conducting reviews, and providing feedback.
- Work with managers to identify and address performance issues and develop improvement plans.
- Implement recognition programs to reward high-performing employees.
- Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of training programs for retail staff.
- Develop and implement leadership development programs for store managers and supervisors.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics to support business decisions.
- Partner with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and employee engagement.
- Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to continuously enhance the HR function.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
