Job Posting: Trademark Attorney
Location: Delhi, India
Experience: 4+ years in Prosecution and Opposition proceedings
We are seeking a skilled Trademark Attorney to join our team in Delhi. As a Trademark Attorney, you will be responsible for managing, protecting, and enforcing portfolios of intellectual property (IP) rights, with a focus on trademarks, copyright, and designs. Your role will involve monitoring deadlines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and developing strong relationships with brand managers and other relevant stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Manage, protect, and enforce portfolios of intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and designs.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure they are met in a timely manner.
• Monitor existing and proposed trademarks to identify potential infringements or conflicts.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with brand managers, customers, and relevant departments to understand business needs and provide strategic advice.
• Handle renewals of trademark registrations and other related tasks.
• Conduct trademark searches and provide clearance opinions.
• Draft and file trademark applications, responses to office actions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in trademark prosecution and opposition proceedings before relevant authorities.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized institution; additional qualifications in Intellectual Property Law preferred.
• Admitted to practice law in India with a minimum of 4 years of experience in trademark prosecution and opposition proceedings.
• Strong understanding of Indian trademark laws, procedures, and regulations.
• Experience in managing trademark portfolios for clients across various industries.
• Excellent analytical, research, and drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and stakeholders.
