Trainee Accountant Scheme 2026
Pendragon Head Office - Hybrid working with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week
Salary of £23,873 (increasing by £500 every 6 months) with pension, critical illness pay, life assurance, 31 days holiday (including bank holidays), exclusive company discounts on used car purchases, leasing deals and aftersales services
Are you a school or college leaver with a passion for numbers and an interest in building a successful career in finance? Our Trainee Accountant Scheme offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive professional training and work towards being a fully qualified accountant.
In this role we you will be trained from the basics up to being ready for the role of Management Accountant. Our practical training consists of rotations across all of our teams where you will work in 6-month periods and will cover all the following areas; Invoice Processing, Accounts Payable Queries, Banking, Credit Management, Reporting and Assistant Accountant Reporting. Alongside the hands-on experience, we will support you in obtaining professional qualifications which can include, AAT, CIMA or ACCA.
Based in our Finance Shared Service Centre, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that supports our nationwide network of retailers. With over 200 team members and a focus on continual growth and development, we’re dedicated to offering limitless opportunities for career development.

• Are on track to secure A-levels in summer 2026 or have secured these in 2026/2026
• Hold 6 GCSE’s at grade 5 or above (2 of which must be Maths and English), and are predicted passes in at least 2 A-levels or equivalent
• Have a clear passion to pursue a career in Accounts, no prior experience required
• Possess the drive and enthusiasm to succeed
