Training and Engagement Officer
Salary: $97,955 - $111,142 (plus superannuation)
Ongoing position

The Role
We are seeking a motivated Training and Engagement Officer to support the delivery of high-quality outcomes by contributing strong analytical thinking, sound judgement, and a collaborative approach to your work. You will bring well-developed written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to prepare clear briefs, reports and advice, and to engage effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
The Training and Engagement Officer will also manage competing priorities, work autonomously, and apply initiative will support the team to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities. You will draw on your experience in policy, project, program or operational environments to identify issues early, propose practical solutions, and support continuous improvement.
Main accountabilities:
Develops guidelines within the work area.
Innovative thinking is an inherent feature of the job.
Researches and applies advanced theoretical knowledge in a specialised field to operational problem solving.
Prepares reports, briefs and correspondence on complex issues that impact at program or organisational level.
Manages projects, usually under limited direction.
Drafts reports and recommendations by interpreting and analysing data.
The Team
This position Training and Engagement Officer forms a part of the Finance, Investment and Procurement branch, which sits under the Corporate Services group.
The Corporate Services group consists of specialist functions including finance, investment and procurement, performance and governance, legal and legislation, people and culture, information technology and workplace services and emergency management.
These functions enable the department to operate efficiently and effectively and support the Secretary and Ministers to meet legislative obligations and responsibilities whilst actively supporting the department's portfolio groups and Ministers to create the conditions for growing Victoria's prosperity, building the productive capacity of our economy, and increasing participation.
About You

Interpersonal Skills: Sees things from another's point of view and confirms understanding; Tailors communications according to audience and/or audience prefe rence.
