As part of a major whole‑of‑organisation transformation (a Tier One project), this role offers meaningful impact, organisational visibility and a rare opportunity to shape how our entire Council works.

Here’s what you’ll be up to…

We’re modernising the way we work — transforming how Council operates and implementing a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. As our Training Specialist, you’ll play a central role in helping over 1,700 staff confidently adopt new systems and ways of working.

You will:

Lead training needs analysis across the ERP program
Design and develop engaging, accessible training resources tailored to diverse learner groups
Deliver and facilitate training (face‑to‑face and digital) for staff and stakeholders
Coordinate logistics including scheduling, enrolments, venues and equipment
Evaluate training effectiveness, report on outcomes, and collaborate to drive continuous improvement
Work closely with the Change Manager, Organisational Transformation Project Manager, Subject Matter Experts, and ERP project team to uplift capability across Council
Help shape a modern learning culture that supports long‑term organisational change
Your work will directly contribute to a smoother transition, stronger adoption, and better outcomes for our staff and community — the kind of real‑world impact that makes work feel more meaningful.

Who we are (and why you’ll love us)

As your leader, I take a practical, grounded and humanistic approach — I’m flexible, encouraging, trusting and hands‑off in the best way. I focus on creating the supportive conditions for people to succeed and grow in their own way.

You’ll join a newly formed ERP project team inside our Business Excellence department. We’re:

Collaborative, inclusive and supportive
Outcomes‑focused and goal‑oriented
Still early in our project journey — which means you get to help shape how we work, build culture and influence our collective success from the ground up
We value connection, authenticity and continuous improvement. As part of Council, you’ll enjoy flexible work options, a strong wellbeing culture, and opportunities to learn and grow — all while contributing to a high‑profile organisational change initiative that will shape the future of how our City works.
