About the Job
Our client, a leading Am Law 100 law firm, seeks an experienced Corporate Associate Attorney to join their Venture Capital & Emerging Companies practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of attorneys and clients in the venture capital and emerging companies industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and negotiate venture capital investment agreements, including NVCA forms.
Lead negotiations of key terms of all venture capital investment agreements.
Supervise, train, and mentor associates in all aspects of venture capital financing.
Advise emerging companies on typical matters that arise in their day-to-day operations, including board and stockholder communications and approvals and equity awards.
Requirements:
A minimum of four years of experience in venture capital and emerging company practice.
Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
Admitted or eligible for admission in New York or Massachusetts.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and balance competing responsibilities.
Collaboration with team members is an essential component of this role.
