Working Pattern
Monday - Friday 6am - 4pm and 7am - 5pm, Alternating Saturdays 8am - 1pm
The Role of a Transport Controller,
With the wider Transport team, you ll plan, organise and coordinate the daily deliveries, exchanges and collections through our routing system.
Monitor transport routes, smart phone compliance, jobs that are completed and on-time performance.
Try to reduce wasted journeys as well as calling collections to confirm readiness for collection as well as supporting any problematic collections the same day.
Be responsible for monitoring and managing the transport operation on a day-to-day basis whilst providing updates to both internal and external customers.
What do you need to succeed as an Transport Controller?
A positive can do attitude, with good problem solving skills.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Experience working on computers & systems.
Experience working in a customer facing role in a fast paced environment.
