Position Summary
CFG Bank is seeking a Treasury Manager to join its growing team, offering exposure to all Treasury functions and senior management, along with ownership of key strategic initiatives. This role involves working primarily in the office, and relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates. The Treasury team oversees the bank's asset-liability management (ALM), monitoring assets, liabilities, capital, liquidity, investments, funding, and interest rate risk. Reporting to the Director of Asset Liability Management, the Treasury Manager will lead efforts in interest rate risk modeling, liquidity risk, stress testing, forecasting, budgeting, and investment portfolio management. Additionally, the Manager will assist in implementing and ensuring compliance with ALM and Treasury policies and procedures.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Lead and enhance the market risk and liquidity modeling, reporting, and data infrastructure, with primary responsibility for implementing and running the Empyrean model currently being introduced at the Bank.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis and regularly update key model assumptions.
• Oversee the development of ALM and liquidity reports, presenting results to the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO).
• Manage Treasury reporting for senior stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, ALCO, and regulators.
• Contribute to various Treasury projects and analyses, such as managing the investment portfolio, daily cash position, interest rate hedging, funds transfer pricing, and correspondent banking relationships.
• Prepare balance sheet reports and ad hoc analyses, such as deposit, investment, liquidity, and cash management reports.
• Maintain thorough documentation of modeling results, assumptions, and supporting compliance materials.
• Mentor analysts on the team, supporting their growth and development.
Qualifications And Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field, Master’s degree preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in a financial institution Treasury role
• Strong understanding of banking, financial theory, and data analysis.
• Experience with ALM modeling systems is required (Empyrean, ZM, BancWare, Fiserv, Profitstar, QRM, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to synthesize data into a story
• Highly detail oriented, organized, and able to meet assigned deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to operate independently
Work Environment
We offer a hybrid schedule, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote after the initial +0-day period.
