Job Description
As the Associate Director of Sales at Unacademy, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and achieving sales objectives for the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the sales team, developing and executing sales strategies, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the success of sales initiatives. Your expertise in sales management, team leadership, and business development will contribute to the overall growth and success of Unacademy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans aligned with Unacademy's goals and objectives. Analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and recommend strategies to maximize market share.
2. Team Leadership and Management: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the sales team. Set clear performance targets, track individual and team progress, and provide regular feedback to optimize sales performance. Foster a collaborative and motivated team culture.
3. Revenue Generation: Drive sales efforts to meet or exceed revenue targets for Unacademy's products and services. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients. Lead by example in client meetings, negotiations, and contract closures.
4. Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key clients, including educational institutions, coaching centers, and individual learners. Understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and support.
5. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor and analyze sales data, sales pipelines, and revenue forecasts. Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and recommendations for improvement. Utilize data insights to drive informed decision-making.
6. Sales Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance sales processes, methodologies, and tools to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and leverage technology to optimize sales operations.
7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and other internal teams to align sales efforts with overall business strategies. Provide inputs to product development, marketing campaigns, and customer insights to drive growth.
8. Market Research and Competitor Analysis: Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the education and e-learning industry. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new growth opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in a relevant field; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven experience in a sales leadership role, preferably in the education or e-learning industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
- Sound knowledge of sales strategies, methodologies, and best practices in the education industry.
- Familiarity with sales automation tools and CRM systems is a plus
