Job Description
• You must be a 2nd year undergraduate student at a UK University undertaking an accredited placement year or currently working in one of our URBN stores,
• You must be available for 1 year full time from July 2026 until July 2027,
• A passion and enthusiasm for the URBN brands and what we represent,
• Ability to multitask, effectively manage workload and to work to deadlines and targets,
• Understanding of and ability to work within principles of equal opportunities, data protection and with regard of confidentiality,
• High level of attention to detail,
• Ability to be creative with tools such as Canva, Powerpoint, Adobe,
• Good user knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook packages
What the job involves
• This role sits in URBN, our shared service function within the HR & Talent Department. URBN supports and works across all brands (Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie & Free People) within Europe Retail,
• This is an exciting opportunity to gain first-hand experience in all things HR & Recruitment in a dynamic and creative environment,
• Throughout this 12-month placement, you will be given the opportunity to maximise your potential with stimulating work and inspirational colleagues,
• Provide admin support across HR, Learning & Development & Recruitment teams,
• Support with the employee lifecycle (new starters, leavers, contract changes etc.),
• Complete references,
• Conduct right to work checks,
• Assist with creating and developing business-wide communications that captivate and engage URBN employees,
• Participate in ad hoc HR, Learning & Development & Recruitment projects with the team,
• Attend careers fairs to help attract talent to URBN,
• Support with Assessment Centres & Work Experience Programme,
• Assist the team in producing monthly reports and managing trackers,
• Manage and respond to queries in the HR Inbox,
• Coordinate the preparation of training courses and events (booking rooms, arranging equipment, etc.),
• Manage the HR team intranet page,
• Assist with benefits admin,
• Research into new, competitive rewards and benefits,
• Contribute fresh, new ideas to inspire and excite our people
