Job Description
Prepare day-to-day and month-end close entries for revenue, payroll, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, payroll expense and other general ledger accounts
• Understand the accounting operations for each assigned client. Obtain a working knowledge of both the QuickBooks and Intacct accounting software packages
• Follow internal control processes specific to each assigned client.
• Manage interactions with clients that area assigned and cross train on other staff to support clients when required.
• Prepare audit and tax schedules at year end.
• Assist in preparation of year-end 10++ submissions.
• Design and implement controls and procedures.
• Interact with clients on a regular basis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
• 2-4 years’ experience in the accounting field
• Understanding of Accounting Principles, knowledge of GAAP
• Understanding of key not-for-profit concepts, such as Net Assets, Functional Expenses, SEFA reporting, etc.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Good time management and organisational skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives and client requirements
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
• CPA licence, preferred
• Intacct Accounting System

• Project Accounting experience
• Experience processing and reviewing payroll
• Experience with Bill.com or similar system
• Experience as an auditor
