US Accounting Team Lead - Remote
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented US Accounting Team Lead to oversee and manage a team of accounting professionals serving clients from the USA, UK, Australia, and India.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise a team of accountants handling multi-country client portfolios with operational excellence and strategic oversight.
• Review and manage end-to-end accounting processes including general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing to ensure timely delivery of outsourced accounting services.
• Ensure timely preparation of financial statements – P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow in compliance with US GAAP.
• Oversee payroll coordination (W-2/10++) and ensure tax compliance for US clients.
• Conduct internal reviews to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance, collaborating with cross-functional teams for workflow optimization and technology integration.
• Train, mentor, and monitor the performance of junior accountants, assisting in process documentation and audit preparation.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for client communications, queries, and escalations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in US accounting, including 1+ year in a leadership role, with hands-on experience in team leadership and client communication.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Excel, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and compliance (W-2/10++, IRS guidelines), excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and a client-centric approach with proven stakeholder management experience.
• Tech-savvy with ability to work across time zones and manage multiple clients, with Monday to Friday working days (Night Shift / US Time Zone).
