We are building one of the most aggressive and fastest-growing used car departments in the region — targeting 300+ retail used vehicle sales per month. We are seeking a high-performing Used Car Buyer who knows how to source, acquire, and manage inventory at scale.
If you are experienced in physical auctions, online auctions, service drive acquisition, wholesaler relationships, and off-street purchases — and understand how inventory velocity drives profitability — we want to speak with you.
This is a high-impact, high-earning opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Source and acquire used vehicle inventory to support a 300+ unit monthly sales target
Purchase vehicles from physical auctions, online auctions, wholesalers, service drive, and direct-to-consumer channels
Accurately evaluate vehicles (condition, market demand, book values, recon estimates)
Work closely with Used Car Manager to manage aging and inventory turn
Monitor market data tools (vAuto, MMR, etc.) to stay ahead of pricing trends
Maintain proper inventory levels and model mix
Purchase within established profit and turn objectives
Build and maintain strong relationships with auction representatives and wholesale partners
Performance Expectations
Maintain inventory mix to support 300+ monthly retail units
Target turn rate: 45–60 days or better
Purchase within cost-to-market and gross objectives
Contribute to department volume and profitability goals
Pay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
