Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled data scientist to join our team. As a logistics expert, you will be responsible for developing and implementing predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex logistics-related problems.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve logistics-related problems such as demand forecasting, route optimization, inventory prediction, and shipment delay analysis.
• Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured logistics data from systems such as TMS (Transportation Management Systems), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and ERP platforms.
• Design and maintain dashboards and visualizations to track supply chain KPIs, operational performance, and model outputs using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Work cross-functionally with logistics, operations, procurement, and IT teams to understand business challenges and translate them into data science solutions.
• Use SQL, Python, R, and big data tools to extract, clean, and prepare datasets for analysis and modeling.
• Deploy models into production and monitor their performance to ensure accuracy and reliability over time.
• Conduct A/B testing and causal inference to evaluate changes in supply chain processes and logistics strategies.
Requirements:
• Strong background in machine learning and statistical modeling
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL
• Experience working with big data tools and technologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
